Instructions: Cut chipboard to build the box, thin wood stirs to cover the box, epson paper for hinges and corners, hinges are paper and toothpick (mine didn't turn out very good but I encourage you to try!), front lock is wood stir cut with hole, brown paper covered wire for handles. The bun feet are four small wood beads. I did cut a couple of supports for the inside of the lid as you will see on video. I used Alene's Super Thick Tacky Glue.
To create the finish on this piece, paint with Black Multi-surface paint from Apple Barrel and let dry. Then paint over the black with special mixture of chalk paint, which is 50/50 mixture of Rustoleum Linen White and Chiffon Cream. This mixture makes 2 pints but I use it for everything including my real home items. Age the piece by using a wet wipe and paper towel to rub off some of the chalk paint. Water activates chalk paint and it will come off of acrylic paint without removing the layer underneath. Brown Antiquing is Waverly Antiquing Wax watered down - this stains and helps to seal the chalk paint. Metal corners and lock are painted the same black multi-surface paint then touched up with Rub 'n Buff Antique Gold. I used a dab of black on the brown handles to tie them in but did not over saturate with paint.
